Treasurer’s Report: Current balance is $4601.00.
Membership: Membership is currently 167, 2 non-resident members and 3 honorary.
Old Business: AK: Don’t forget to vote. FR: Streets are nice now that the construction is finished.
Wonderland: SW: DACA has neglected the detention pond and Wonderland. SP: Detention pond has been cleaned up and seeded.
Traffic: SP: Traffic commission planning to remove 2nd left turn lane at Middlebelt.
Newsletter: AK: Articles due 9/23. Motion by S. Plafchan to donate $100 to BSA for newsletter delivery. 2nd by J. Case. Motion: Approved. Newsletter
delivery date 10/2-3/09. Newsletter rolling party at Kolhoff residence 9/30.
Fall Soccer: AK: 76 children have signed up. There are 3 divisions
Adult Softball: AK: DACA fielded 4 teams, ORCC 2 teams, CCCA 1 team. Tournament held 8/29-30. DACA team ‘Brews on First’ took first place.
Movies in the Park: 3 movies were shown. Approximate attendance; # 1-150, #2-100, #3-100.
Corn Roast: Tickets sold: 172, 68 pre sale, 104 same day. Saturday was rained out, rain date of Sunday was very hot and humid. Pie eating contest was a big
Other Business: Meeting Dates: Motion by S. Plafchan to decrease to number of monthly meetings. After heated debate, motion tabled.

Treasurer’s Report: Current balance is $3609.09.
Membership: Membership is currently 143, with 50 new members, 2 non-resident members.
Neighborhood: AK: Mayor Kirksey organized a rally in support of the the three car dealers that have been targeted for closure at Livonia Chrysler/Jeep. Between
100 and 200 people attended along with the local media. FR: Construction has begun on the slab replacement on Dalhay.
Newsletter: AK: Articles for next newsletter are due 6/27. Delivery will be by 7/18.
Adult Softball: SK: Started 3 season two weeks ago. DACA is now fielding 4 teams. Play will continue until Labor Day.
Spring Soccer: AK: Season ended 6/6. 80 Children played, there were 6 teams in 3 levels. Fall soccer starts 9/12.
Corn Roast: AK: First meeting on 6/18 at the Kolhoff residence. SK will co-chair. Sen. Anderson will donate corn. Commissioner Gebhardt will also donate.
Website: Bob Moreo has volunteered to be webmaster.
Movies: SK will chair Movie committee. Dates and movies TBA.

Treasurer’s Report: Current balance is $3513.31.
Membership: Membership is currently 142, with 49 new members, 2 non-resident members.
Traffic: No Parking signs on Elmira/Hillcrest have been installed.
Crime: Gary Gagnon, a Devon Aire resident was the victim of a violent crime.
Easter Egg Hunt: AK: Tattoos very popular, much more than face painting. Need more tables and chairs for the pizza party. Attendance was down.
Newsletter: AK: Thanks to SP, SK and family for rolling newsletters. $100.00 donation made to Scouts. Some issues with delivery.
Spring Soccer: AK: 70 children have signed up. Soccer starts 4/25.
Park Clean-up: SK: 5/2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. FR to do graffiti clean-up and cook hot dogs.
Newsletter: AK: Volunteers are need or activities will have to be cut.
Website: AK: A webmaster is needed.
Movies: AK: Telecom CU has not responded to requests to sponsor the movies again this summer. A Chair is needed to head the Movie Committee. FR will run
the concession stand and put up signs. Motion by SP to spend $500.00 for movie licenses and $500.00 for additional signage. 2nd: MB Motion approved.

Membership: Membership is currently 138, with 47 new members, 3 non-resident members.
Old Business: None
New Business: Newsletter: AK: Articles due last week. Newsletter is due @ printer 3/15. Scouts will deliver again. AK needs help rolling on 3/21.
Easter Egg Hunt: AK: Hunt will be on 4/4 at 12 noon sharp. Ages 1-4 will go first then middle age children followed by older children. No face-painting this
year, temporary tattoos.
Spring Soccer: AK: 48 children have signed up. 10-15 more are expected. Soccer starts 4/25.
Park Clean-up: AK: The city has set the date, 5/2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stan to chair the clean-up committee.
Corn Roast: AK: Need someone to oversee a couple of Corn Roast committee meetings in July.
Other Business: AK: Stan Anderson, past president of CCCA passed away in January.
DW: State Senator Anderson hosted a Town Hall meeting this evening, which was very well attended.
Church will be hosting a Mostaccioli Dinner 4/23, time and price TBA.

Membership: Membership is currently 137, with 46 new members, 2 non-resident members.
Traffic: AK: Parking on Hillcrest/Elmira. No Parking signs will be placed on inside of curve in the spring. Chrysler dealer is allowed to have trucks park on Milburn
to unload. However dealer manager; Dave McDonald would like to be notified if there are concerns regarding the trucks. Joy/Merriman traffic signals; per LPD
traffic studies have been done showing that no left turn signal light is needed at the intersection.
Wonderland: SP: On 12/3 City notified Schostak that building materials stored around detention pond needed to be moved within 30 days. Nothing moved to
date. SP to appear before Council on 1/14/09.
New Business: Newsletter: AK: Articles for the Spring newsletter due by 3/7/09.
Easter Egg Hunt: M. Banny to be liaison between DACA and the church. Date for hunt TBA.
Soccer: AK: Registration for spring will be the first full week in March.
Meeting: Motion to cancel the February meeting and next meet 3/9/09.

Treasurer’s Report: Current balance is $3631.98.
Membership: Membership is currently 137, with 46 new members, 2 non-resident members.
Old Business: AK: Traffic concerns on Traffic Commission Agenda 12/11 7:30 p.m. Spoke to Sgt. Studt re: parking on Hillcrest/Elmira; No Parking signs not
necessary, residents should know that parking isn’t allowed.
Wonderland: SP: Filed complaint with city against Shostak re: building materials stored around detention pond. Offered photos for evidence.
New Business: DW: City increasing fees for Rec Center and parks.
AK: City considering reuse of former Senior Center/Firehouse.
Other Business: Church: The church will remain open. Board is doing community outreach.

DACA By-laws: Revised Article VI Sec. 7(d) to read “An improper personal transaction”. Revise Article VI Sec. 5 to read “Election of Officers shall be by secret

Traffic: AK: Parking on Hillcrest/Elmira. Wrote to Traffic Commission, re: No Parking signs-no response. Traffic Commission meets 2nd Thursdays.
Mrs. Coller wants to start passing around petition to bring back traffic signs. CB: Members and neighbors should start writing letters to the editor.
Wonderland: SP: Dead trees have been removed and grass seed put down around the detention pond.
Budget: 2009 budget proposed. Steve Plafchan moved to accept. Seconded by J. Case. Budget approved.
Meeting Dates: SW: Proposed to change the date that D.A.C.A meets. Motion tabled.
Church: JS: The church will be closing on 5/31/2009 (Dec 12 minutes - Church to remain open!)
Fall Soccer: 10/11 Pizza Party of 70 athletes.
Newsletter: Troop 732 delivered the Fall Newsletter and will continue to do so.

Call to Order: 7:33 p.m.
Treasurer’s Report: Current balance is $2556.14. AK to give DH Corn Roast and Softball monies.
Membership: Membership is currently 112, with 45 new members, 2 non-resident members
Corn Roast: AK: 245 tickets sold. $745.00 in expenses w/ approx. $100.00 in expenses estimated.
Movies: DH: $400.00 needs to be paid to Criterion for Movies in the Park.
Wonderland: There are still issues with children playing in and around the pond. City has been informed. Landscaping needs to be better maintained.
Neighborhood: Issues with speeding in the area since the removal of traffic signs. Officials advise getting plate number of speeding vehicle.
Officer Elections: Tabled. Motion: S. Kolhoff, 2nd: F. Ryan. Motion approved

Newsletter: Articles due by 9/19. Newsletter to printer by 9/22. Delivery first week of October. Boy Scout Troop 732 will help deliver.
Soccer: 62 players for Fall League. 3rd division added.
Movies in the Park: Good year. Approximately 70 people attended each of the 3 movies. Special thanks to Telcom CU and the Ford-Wyoming Drive In for
their donations. Julie Hoffman sewed the new screen.
Adult Softball: Huge hit. Double the number of players from 2007. Two teams were fielded from D.A.C.A. and Old Rosedale Assn. One team from Clements
Circle. Fee to play was $10.00.
Guest: Joan Gebhardt, Democratic challenger for Wayne County Commission introduced.
